Discovering India's Roots: A Deep Dive Into Its Ancient History

Welcome to the captivating world of history! I am Kamal, your host for this interesting history blog. Today, we will delve into the rich history of India, which is divided into three fascinating periods - Ancient History, Mediaeval History, and Modern History. Get ready to uncover some exciting historical events from each era!

1) Ancient History : Historical events of B.C. (Before Christ) 

A) Indus valley civilisation : 2600B.C - 1500B.C 

Indus valley civilisation is one of the oldest civilisation in human history. It also known as Harappan civilisation and also the Bronze age civilisation. The major sites were Harappan , Mohenjo-daro ( Both are in modern day Pakistan)

The founder of this civilisation was Sir Jhon Marshall, Earnest Mackey , Harold Hargreaves. This civilisation is famous for its great cities like Harappan which is technologically advanced and highly cultured. 

B) Early Vedic Period: 1500 B.C - 1000 B.C 

After the fall of Indus valley civilisation there was supposed to be the beginning of early vedic period. The vedic age started with the coming of the Indo - Aryan or Aryans. This period is the period in late bronze and the early Iron age of ancient Indian history. The main feature of this age was the Vedas , the vedic literature was composed which contains the details of the life during this period. 

The Vedas comprises four major text. 

1) Rig Veda

2) Sama Veda 

3) Yajur Veda 

4) Atharva Veda  

 Of this Rig Veda is believed to be the earliest. The text consist of charans , spells and rituals. 

After the end of 1000 BC there was end of ancient Indian history and the beginning of the mediaeval Indian history.
